Joshua Munson, DDS, MD

Dr. Joshua Munson is passionate about providing exceptional surgical care while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident every step of the way. His goal is simple: to treat every patient with the same compassion, respect, and attention he would want for his own family.

Originally from Reidsville, North Carolina, Dr. Munson is proud to be a Tar Heel through and through. He completed his undergraduate education, dental school, medical school, and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As part of his training, he also completed a year of general surgery, giving him a broad surgical foundation that strengthens the care he provides to his patients today. After finishing residency, Dr. Munson continued his training through the rigorous process to become board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

For Dr. Munson, caring for patients is more than a profession—it is a calling. One of the most central influences in his life is his faith in Jesus, which shapes his commitment to serving others with humility, compassion, and integrity. He strives to create an environment where patients feel genuinely cared for and where their comfort and well-being are always the priority.

Outside the office, Dr. Munson enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and their three young children, who keep life joyful and busy at ages six, four, and one. When he has free time, you can often find him on the golf course or staying active at the gym.

Dr. Munson feels incredibly grateful to serve the Cornelius community and the surrounding Lake Norman area. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve healthier smiles through compassionate, high-quality care."
